My name is George T. Walker, and I'm an Episcopal priest, having been ordained in 1985.

 

I currently live in Oxford, Mississippi, but am canonically resident in the Diocese of Louisiana. Although I"ve been a full time parish priest in the past, I'm currently managing a small manufacturing company and also am serving a church in Grenada MS as they search for their new pastor. I'm a graduate of U of LA at Monroe, and have a masters in theology from Catholic Theological Union in Chicago.

 

My wife Madeleine and I have been married for 43+ years and have three grown daughters and eight grandchildren. I"ve owned guns all my life, and have had concealed carry permit since they were introduced in LA in the mid-90's. I"m also an NRA certified firearms instructor for handguns, and a certified Reserve Police Officer for the city of Oxford.

 

As I'm writing this, I'm wearing a full size 1911 .45ACP pistol in an IWB on my strong side, with a spare mag on the support side. I carry 24/7, including Sundays in church and have learned to put my vestments on in such a way that I'm "discreet" about being armed.
