David
Carrick
From
my boyhood days in Michigan, I always had
a love and appreciation for firearms. My first was a Winchester
22
for my 11th birthday. For the past several years, I have finally
taken
the time and returned to hunting, and firearms in general. I
finally
got my CCW permit in the fall of 2007.
I
have a Remington 7400
rifle in 270 which I have used on 5 successful elk hunts out of
5. I
also own a J.C. Higgins 9-shot 22 revolver, a Glock 17 9mm, and
recently traded a
Smith & Wesson 910 9mm for a Smith & Wesson M&P in 40
S&W.
My
greatest passion is the Lord
Jesus Christ, His Word, His people, His love for the Lost, and
ministering in the midst of that mix. After 6 years in youth
minisitry, and 23 in preaching ministry (21 in my first location), I am
now working with small groups and pastoral care at First Christian
Church in New Philadelphia, OH while seeking to be His hands and
feet
among the unsaved of our community. I have been happily married
to
Teresa for over 30 years, and am dad to three great sons, one
daughter-in-law, and a granddaughter, with another granddaughter on the
way.
